Acceptance of Terms

By visiting anidoor.site or using the Anime Character Name Generator, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, the appropriate response is simply not to use the website.

There is no account to create and nothing to sign, so acceptance happens through use. These terms apply to everyone who visits, whether you generate a single name or a thousand.

Use of the Website

AniDoor is free to use for personal and creative purposes. You may generate as many names as you like, copy them, save them and use them in your own projects. Normal, ordinary use is exactly what the site is for.

What is not acceptable is anything that damages the website or spoils it for other visitors. You agree not to:

• Abuse the website or use it in a way that is intended to cause harm to the site or to other people
• Attempt to disrupt functionality, including interfering with the tool, the code or the hosting infrastructure
• Use automated methods such as scripts, bots or scrapers to overload the service or extract content at scale
• Attempt unauthorised access to any part of the website, its server, its administration area or any connected system
• Use the website for unlawful purposes, or in any way that breaks the laws that apply to you

Access may be restricted where activity of this kind is detected.

Anime Name Generator

The generator produces name suggestions by combining name elements at random according to the options you select. The names are provided for:

• Creative inspiration when you are stuck on what to call a character
• Entertainment, because generating names is enjoyable in itself
• Fictional character creation for stories, comics, games, roleplay and similar projects

Because the results are generated automatically, AniDoor does not guarantee that any given name is historically authentic, culturally accurate, linguistically correct or completely unique. A randomly assembled name may coincidentally match a name that already exists, including the name of a real person, an existing fictional character, a brand or a trademark.

You are responsible for how you use a generated name. If a name is going into published, commercial or trademarked work, check it yourself before committing to it.

Japanese-Inspired Names

Some of the names produced by AniDoor are drawn from Japanese naming patterns, and some are entirely fictional inventions written in an anime style. They should not automatically be treated as authentic Japanese names, and the surname and given name combinations created by the tool may be unusual or implausible in real life.

Intellectual Property

The AniDoor website itself, including its design, layout, original written content, code and branding, may be protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Please do not copy the site or substantial parts of its content and present them as your own.

Names you generate

AniDoor does not claim ownership of the individual names the generator produces for you. Short names and name combinations generally are not the kind of thing anyone can own, and you are free to use them in your own work without asking permission or crediting the site.

Not claiming ownership is not the same as granting rights. AniDoor cannot guarantee that a particular name is free of third-party rights, so if a name is already associated with an existing character, brand or trademark, that situation is unaffected by anything on this page.

Third-Party Links

The website may include links to external websites. Those websites are operated by other people and are not under AniDoor’s control.

AniDoor is not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or practices of any third-party website, and including a link does not mean endorsement. When you follow an external link, the terms and privacy policy of that website apply instead of these.

Disclaimer of Warranties

AniDoor is provided for general creative and informational purposes, on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The website is offered free of charge and is maintained on a best-effort basis.

This means that no promise is made that the site will always be available, that it will be free of errors or interruptions, or that every piece of information on it is complete and accurate. Features may change or be removed, and the tool may be unavailable during maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, AniDoor is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the website or from your reliance on anything generated by it. That includes situations such as a name turning out to be unsuitable for your project, or the website being temporarily unavailable when you need it.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here removes rights that the law gives you and does not allow to be removed.

Changes to Terms

These terms describe the website as it currently works. As AniDoor changes, for example if new features are added or the way the tool operates is updated, these terms may be revised to match.

When they are, the date at the top of this page changes. Continuing to use the website after an update means the revised terms apply, so it is worth checking this page occasionally.
