Information We Collect

AniDoor does not ask you to create an account, log in, or submit personal details in order to use the Anime Character Name Generator. You can open the tool, set your options and generate names without providing any information about yourself.

Information you choose to send us

If you contact AniDoor, you decide what to share. The contact page includes a form that prepares a message in your own email application, which means anything you write reaches us as an ordinary email. That message may include:

• Your name, as you enter it or as it appears on your email account
• Your email address, which is needed in order to reply
• Your message, including any details you choose to include in it

This information is used for one purpose: to read and respond to your enquiry. It is not used for marketing, it is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else unless we are legally required to do so.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, AniDoor is delivered by a hosting provider, and hosting providers typically keep standard technical logs such as IP addresses, browser type and the time a page was requested. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability, not by the name generator, and AniDoor does not use them to build a profile of you.

Generated Names

The names produced by the Anime Character Name Generator are created for entertainment and creative inspiration. They are assembled in your browser by combining name elements at random, based on the options you select.

Generated names are not transmitted to a server and are not stored in a database by AniDoor. When you close or reload the page, the list you were looking at is gone, unless you saved names as favourites, which is explained in the next section.

Cookies and Browser Storage

AniDoor may use essential cookies where they are needed for the website to function, for example cookies set by WordPress itself. The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own.

Favourites and localStorage

The name generator has a favourites feature. When you mark a name as a favourite, it is saved using localStorage, which is a small storage area inside your own web browser.

Analytics

At the time this policy was written, AniDoor does not run Google Analytics or any other analytics or tracking service, and does not display advertising.

If that changes, this page will be updated to name the service in question and describe what it collects, before or at the time the service is added.

Third-Party Services

AniDoor relies on a web hosting provider to deliver the website, and the tool itself does not call any external API to generate names. Everything the generator needs is already in the page.

If third-party services are added later, such as analytics, advertising, embedded content or a server-side contact form, those services operate under their own privacy policies and their own data practices. In that case this page will be updated, and you should also review the policy of the relevant provider. Links to external websites are likewise governed by the privacy policies of those websites, not by this one.

Children’s Privacy

AniDoor is a general-audience creative tool and is not directed at young children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Age requirements for using online services differ from country to country. Children who are below the applicable age in their region should use the website with the involvement or supervision of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information through email, contact us and we will delete it.

Data Security

Because AniDoor does not collect account details, payment information or sensitive personal data, there is very little information to protect in the first place. That is a deliberate design choice rather than a security claim.

Reasonable measures are taken to keep the website and any email correspondence secure. However, no method of transmitting information over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed by AniDoor or by anyone else.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy describes the website as it currently works. If the functionality changes, for example if analytics are installed, advertising is introduced, or the contact form is connected to a backend that stores submissions, this page will be updated to reflect that.

When the policy is updated, the date shown at the top of the page changes. Continuing to use AniDoor after an update means the revised policy applies.
