AniDoor is a small, free website built around one job: helping you find a good anime-inspired name for a character you are creating.
What Is AniDoor?
AniDoor is an online tool site for anime-style character names. That is the whole idea. You open the page, choose a few options that describe the character you have in mind, press a button, and you get a list of name ideas to work with.
There is only one tool on the site, the Anime Character Name Generator, and everything else here exists to support it. No account, no sign-up, no download, and nothing to install. The generator runs directly in your browser.
The name comes from the idea of a door into a story. Naming a character is often the first real step in creating one, so it felt like a reasonable place to start.

The Anime Name Generator

A Note About Japanese Names
Some of the names AniDoor produces are Japanese-inspired, and some are entirely fictional anime-style inventions. They should not automatically be treated as authentic Japanese names or as accurate cultural or linguistic representations.
Japanese names are written in kanji, and the same spoken name can be written in several different ways with very different meanings. Where the site mentions a meaning, it describes an association that is commonly connected to that name, not the only possible reading or an exact translation. Surnames and given names combined by a generator can also produce pairings that would be unusual in real life.
If a name is going into published work, or if the meaning matters for your story, it is worth checking it properly and deciding on the kanji as well as the sound. Treat what you find here as creative inspiration rather than a language reference.
