AniDoor is a creative tool, not a reference source. The Anime Character Name Generator exists to help you find a name you like for a character you are making up.

Main Disclaimer
The names on this website are put together automatically by combining name parts at random, based on the options you pick. Nobody reviews each result before you see it, and the tool has no way of knowing whether a particular combination makes sense in a real language or already belongs to someone.
So a generated name should not automatically be treated as any of the following:
- An authentic Japanese name that a real person would have
- An official anime character name from any existing series, studio or franchise
- A culturally accurate name, or one that fits a real cultural naming convention
- A linguistically accurate name, or one with a verified meaning
- A unique name that nobody has used before
AniDoor is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any anime series, studio, publisher or franchise. Everything here is an original tool built for fans, not an official product of anyone.
Japanese Name Accuracy
Japanese names work differently from names written in the Latin alphabet, and this is the part people most often misunderstand.
A Japanese name is written in kanji, and the same spoken sound can be written in several different ways. Each way can carry a completely different meaning. Two people can both be called Yuki and have names that mean entirely different things, simply because they are written with different characters. Pronunciation and context matter too, since the same characters can be read in more than one way depending on the name.
On top of that, some of what the generator produces is not Japanese at all. It is fictional, anime-style invention built to sound right rather than to be correct. The tool also pairs surnames and given names freely, which can create combinations that would be unusual or simply would not occur in real life.
Originality
AniDoor cannot guarantee that a name it gives you has never been used anywhere before. The generator does not check its results against any list of existing names, characters, people, brands or trademarks, because it has no such list to check against.
Most combinations are uncommon, but coincidences happen. A name you generate might already belong to a real person, an existing fictional character, a company or a registered trademark. That is normal for short names, and it is not something a random generator can prevent.
If you plan to publish, sell or trademark something using a generated name, search for it first. A few minutes of checking is worth more than any guarantee this page could offer.

This website may link to other websites for reference or convenience. Those websites belong to other people and are not controlled by AniDoor.
We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability or practices of any external website, and a link does not mean we endorse what is on the other end of it. Once you leave AniDoor, the rules and privacy policy of that other website apply instead of ours.
No Professional Advice
Nothing on AniDoor is professional advice. The website does not provide legal, medical, financial, linguistic, translation or any other specialised professional guidance, and nothing here should be treated as a substitute for it.
If you need advice about trademarks, copyright, publishing rights, translation or anything else with real consequences, speak to someone qualified in that field. AniDoor is a name generator, and that is the limit of what it does.
